Hebrew Songs: Hineh Mah Tov

Hineh Mah Tov.001One of the Nerd’s funniest experiences with people messing up the Hebrew happened at a church speaking event. They wanted to impress the Nerd, so they had a band sing a Jewish song. It was this song, “Hineh Mah Tov.”

Since the Hebrew words were transliterated into English and the letter Chet (ח) was marked with a “ch,” they kept pronouncing אחים (achim) and יחד (yachad) with a “ch” sound (unaware of the guttural “kh” which sounds like clearing the throat).

The Nerd couldn’t not correct them.
